TRANSFORMATIVE self-INVESTIGATIONS
Parts Work designates therapeutic, artistic and embodied practices that aim to provide transformation by working with a non-singular self that is divided into inner parts. To do parts work is to investigate our inner system of parts to more deeply understand them and thereby understand ourself. It is to find parts that are marginalized and help them feel accepted. It is to be self-therapist for our inner family of parts and help them get along. It is to develop and strengthen parts that are missing or neglected. It is to gain greater awareness of our parts as they interface with the world. It is to be less controlled by our parts. It is to give "problematic" parts love, care, nourishment and acceptance so that they too can transform.
Sessions with me integrate the techniques mentioned below in an emergent relational process. My overall goal is transformation via exploration. We are explorers on a journey of investigating personal, psychological, spiritual and existential facets of your life/self/world. I lead with curiosity, openness and questions – with listening, connecting with what is alive for you, and co-questioning. I always begin my Sessions with grounding, a brief meditation and/or a playful connection. And Sessions always end with time for reflection and integration.

PSYCHODRAMA
Psychodrama is a practice of roleplaying inner and outer parts, figures or characters. Almost anything can be brought into a psychodrama. Psychodramas can be best configured if there is a specific conflict, image, or relationship you want to explore. However, psychodramas can also be generated out of important information in the present moment.

CIRCLING
Circling is an authentic relating practice that is often described as a relational meditation. I use Circling with my clients to see how parts are arriving in the present moment, and how parts feel in relationship to another person. Circling can also be practiced with parts, as different inner parts arise in a client and then speak their truth, and then move onwards.

VISIONING
Visioning is a practice where we close our eyes, and you are transported to another place. The sub/unconscious feeds you with images, events, actions, feelings – and these are all spoken aloud while they are happening. Visioning is a tool that can help parts emerge from deep subconscious realms, or it can be used to explicitly seed a visioning session with a part as a entry-point to see how a part navigates and explores the dreamworld. Additionally visioning can be used a great relaxation technique for a session when the heavy-work of diving into parts is somewhat too intense or demanding.

PARTS MAPPING
Parts Mapping is a tool used to map out your inner parts. It involves very brief guided-meditations to notice thoughts, feelings, sensations, to see what these sensations lead towards, or speak to you, and then give these a name. Then, inevitably, a given part leads towards another part, and then another, and then another. Parts Mapping involves visually mapping these parts and their connections. This is an incredible tool to give us broad awareness of our inner landscape.
